The Practice continues to be busy. Projects for Spire Healthcare have ranged from operating theatres which have been fully designed and project managed by ourselves to five MRI/CT scanner projects. We have crossed the country for Ramsay Healthcare with projects in areas from Cornwall to Yorkshire.

Office fitouts and refurbishment continue to form a major part of our workload, mostly in the City of London, but increasingly in the Greater Manchester area. Older buildings are being brought up to modern day standards and central plant is being replaced.

As 2010 draws closer, we are replacing R22 chillers at an increasing rate, with modern fully modulating chillers, with consequent savings in energy and CO² emissions. Our next project is the data centre improvements and replacement chillers for Tower Hamlets at their headquarters building in Canary Wharf. We drew our biggest crowd so far when the chillers were replaced at Xchanging's Leadenhall Street offices, in the shadow of the "Gherkin".

In addition to the repeat commissions from our existing clients which range from the Salvation Army to Investec and Rolls Royce. We welcome new clients including The Emerson Group, NEWI College and, and Tower Hamlets.

Our staff have been kayaking, survived the pounding following their whitewater rafting experiences in Wales and even taken to the trees in Go Ape.

We have over a number of years undertaken a range of fund raising activities for charities and this year is no exception. Graham ran the London Marathon for Whizz Kidz, 10 of us ran in the Great Manchester Run for a range of charities and two teams are entered for the 3 Peaks Challenge in July to raise money for The Anthony Nolan Trust.

Sustainability has been a key element within the practice and in order to meet demand from clients we have now formed Parker Wilson Sustain LLP which will undertake a range of activities including dynamic building simulations, EPC's, DEC's, facilities management and technical advise in connection with the provision of renewable energy systems projects.
