Parker Wilson have been undertaking works within heritage projects for over 25 years. These projects have varied from the refurbishment of the Old and New Exhibition Halls for the Royal Horticultural Society, Vincent Square (which often feature in feature films) to projects in Harley Street. Ranging from consultants' offices with Adams ceilings to shoe horning in linear accelerators and operating theatres into what were originally 3-storey houses with basements and pavement vaults.

Residential projects in London include a Grade I Listed property on Regent Street Terrace and the refurbishment of a Swiss private bank in Mayfair in what was a private house. In Manchester they have generally been mill conversions, the best example being Chorlton Mill.

Grade II theatre refurbishments have included Buxton Opera House and currently the Morecambe Winter Gardens.

Our first museum in a Grade II Listed building was the William Booth Museum in Nottingham, Manchester University Museum has just been completed and Wrexham Museum on site.

On all these projects dialogue with the Client and English Heritage and close working relationships within the team. Is critical as compromises often to have to be made and all parties need to buy into this. We try to ensure that services are hidden where possible, and feature lighting is utilised to show key features of these buildings. Sustainable solutions are included wherever possible in order to future proof the buildings and reduce the running costs.

Current projects include Wrexham Museum, Blackburn Exchange and Winter Gardens Theatre Morecambe and Darwin Market.
