Industrial / Logistics / Infrastructure
PWC have completed a range of industrial, logistics and infrastructure projects, including:
· The refurbishment of Hangar No.7 at Gatwick Airport
· Post Office distribution centres
· Manufacturing and chemical production sites
· Network Rail depot and platform works
· Transport hub, tram interchange and busway works for TfGM
· Speculative warehouse and industrial units
· Data centres
3PL, e-commerce and data centre clients continue to drive demand for new and value-add refurbishment of existing warehouse and industrial units. Demand is also increasing for electric car, van, and HGV charging, as well as greater on-site energy security and self-reliance. The associated power and energy/carbon requirements mean that early MEP engagement is more important than ever.
PWC provides early engagement services for load monitoring and modelling to establish realistic supply requirements and reduce the risk of overestimating, a common issue across sectors. We also design PV and battery systems to improve on-site resilience, and smart load-shedding systems to reduce peak loads.
Utilities now account for more project delays than planning, with 16-20 week delays commonly reported across the industry. PWC can assist with early utilities engagement to reduce the risk of delays.
